UNDERHAY, Robert Maxwell - Passed peacefully away at Interfaith Citizen's
Home, Carbonear on Thursday, December 30, 2004, Robert Underhay, age 90
years of Heart's Content. Predeceased by his son: Robert (Jr.). Leaving to mourn
his loving wife of 64 years, Frances (nee Budden); children: David (Martha),
Elaine (Boyd) and daughter-in-law: Sybil; grandchildren: Heather, Sharon,
Darrin, Beverly, Lisa, Paul, Gina, Nicole, Corinne; great-grandchildren: Jonathon,
Corey, Adrienne, Hilary, Liam, Brady; Also a large circle of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. Resting at Green's Funeral Home, Winterton with
visitation on Friday, December 31st, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Saturday, January 1st,
St. Mary's Anglican Church, Heart's Content, 10-12 noon. Following visitation,
funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Anglican
Cemetery, Heart's Content. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.
Mary's Memorial Fund, Heart's Content.
VARDY, Clarence - Passed peacefully away at the DVA Pavilion, St. John`s on Wednesday, January 14, 2004, Clarence Vardy of Clarenville, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Velma; sisters: Minnie Hawco and Nellie Bomengen; brothers: Fred, George, Alex, Arthur and Ronald. Leaving to mourn two brothers: Roy Vardy (Dot), Clarenville and Gordon Vardy, St. John`s; sisters-in-law Isabelle Vardy, Clarenville, Bertha Vardy, Clarenville and Edna Vardy, Clarenville, Mary and David Warren and family, Clarenville, Warrick Smith, Chance Cove and Jean Pye (Clarence), Lethbridge; good friend Max Blackwood (Dina), Greenspond; a number of nieces and nephews, caregivers, other relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer`s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2004 from Fewer`s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Interment to follow at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society or Children`s Wish Foundation.
VIVIAN, Hilda - Passed away suddenly at Carbonear General Hospital on
Wednesday, April 14, 2004, Hilda Vivian of Heart's Delight, formerly from Hant's
Harbour, age 79 years. Leaving to mourn two sons: Boyd Vivian (Mary), Heart's
Delight and Jeff Gulliford (Muriel), Hant's Harbour; six dearly loved
grandchildren: Karl (Lynda), Kurt (Lisa), Kelly (David), Krista (Jason), Kim
(Richard) and Chad (Melanie); seven great-grandchildren; sister Hettie Hardy
(Eric); brother Bob Pelly (Fran); sisters-in-law: Aileen Dunlop and Blanche
Vivian; brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Rita Gulliford; also a large circle of
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Green's Funeral Home,
Winterton. Visiting hours Thursday and Friday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.;
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the
United Church, Hant's Harbour. Interment in the United Church Cemetery,
Hant's Harbour. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the
Hant's Harbour United Church Memorial Fund or Bethel United Church, Heart's
Delight.
WEBBER, Hazel Belle - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial
Hospital, Clarenville, on Friday, August 27, 2004, Hazel Belle Webber of
Clarenville, aged 97 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her
brother Ralph Webber (Margaret), England; nieces: Cassie Ivany, Brenda Ralph,
Edna Tuck and Pauline Strong; nephews: Allan Webber, Russell Webber and
Ian Webber and their families, as well as a number of relatives and friends.
Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday,
August 29, 2004, from Memorial United Church, Clarenville, with interment at
United Church Cemetery, Church Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to United Church Cemetery, Church Hill, or Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital.
WELSH, Gregory - November 23, 1972 - June 26, 2004. Died as the result of a
tragic accident in Tumbler Ridge, BC on Saturday, June 26, Greg Welsh formerly
of Islington, aged 31 years. Greg was residing in Grande Prairie, Alberta. He was
loved by everyone, he especially loved his Irish music and was always there for
a good time; he was the life of a party. He made many friends over the years and
will be greatly missed by everyone. "To know him was to love him" would best
sum up Greg's life. Leaving to mourn their sad loss, wife Tammy; his loving
parents, Denzil and Patsy Welsh; brother Paul; sister Pauline (Graham); special
nephew Nathan; grandmother Marjorie Welsh; also lovingly remembered by a
large number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral arrangements
entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo and is presently being
finalized. Greg will be resting at St. Matthew's Church Hall, Islington with
visitation for family and friends, until time of funeral. The funeral service will be
held from St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Heart's Delight on Sunday, July 4th at
2:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
WHALEN, Sarah Jane - Passed away suddenly at Dr. G. B. Cross
Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, Sarah Jane
Whalen of Little Hearts Ease, aged 87 years. Predeceased by her
husband Reginald and daughter Myra. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories her daughters Marion (Cecil Whalen), Ferne Drodge and
Joan Arimini; sons Eldon (Eileen), Cyril (Marie) and Randy (Annie);
sisters Miriam King and Dorothy Stagg (Richard); brother Norman
Drodge (Virtue); seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and
a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Pentecostal Church, Little
Hearts Ease. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2004 from
Pentecostal Church, Little Hearts Ease with interment at Pentecostal
Cemetery, Little Hearts Ease. In her memory, donations may be made to
Heart and Stroke Foundation.
