Carbonear on Wednesday, August 25, 2004, Annie S. Lambert of Grates Cove,
age 82 years. Predeceased by husband Wallace; brother Simeon and sisters:
Myrtle and Mabel. Leaving to mourn one daughter, Judy (Clayton) Blundon,
Grates Cove; three sons: Edmund (Hilda), Grates Cove, Carson (Georgiana),

LANE, Watson - Passed peacefully away on Saturday, August 21, 2004, at
Bonavista Hospital, Watson Lane, of Catalina, aged 82 years. Left with fond and
loving memories his wife Mary of 61 years; sons: Robert (Minnie), Rev. Martin,
Leo (Jeanette); nine grandchildren: Louise, Linda, David, Judy, Donna, Victoria,
Janice, Susan and Ryan; six great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Jessica, Justin,

of New Chelsea, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband Louis 1992. Leaving to

(Annie), New Chelsea, and Whitfield (Donna), Dartmouth, N.S.; ten

LODGE, Irene Veta - It is with great sadness that the family of Irene
Veta Lodge of Catalina announce her sudden passing at the Health
Sciences Center on Wednesday, July 14, 2004. She was predeceased by
parents Eleazer and Mildred Johnson and brother Harris. Leaving to
mourn but also to celebrate Irene's wonderful life are her sons: Bruce
(Louise), Windsor, ON; Harris (Brenda), Wallace and Douglas Lodge, all
of Catalina; John Jeans, her loving companion of many years; beloved
sister of Alma (Peter) Paor, Shirley (Ralph) Blake, Maggie (Humphrey)
Pike, and Scott (Alma) Johnson. Cherishing her memory are grandchildren
Daniel, Stephen, Alison, Sara, Kyle, Julie, Jason and Joanne. Irene will be
sadly missed by her aunts, uncle, family and friends. During the many years
that Irene served with the Catalina Town Council, she cared for the
betterment of her community and always tried to make a difference.

Complex, Blanche Manuel, age 90 years. Predeceased by her husband

MARCH, Gordon A. - (Life long fisherman). November 25, 1927 - September
23, 2004. Passed peacefully away at his home on Thursday, September 25, 2004
after a lengthy illness, Gordon A. March of Green's Harbour, aged 76 years.

Predeceased by her husband Louis in 1969 and daughter Michelle Stones in 2003. MCDOUGALL, Audrey Sarah - On May 3, 2004, Audrey McDougall of
Edmonton, formerly of Cavendish, Newfoundland, passed away at the age of 52
years. She is survived by her daughter Heather; Heather's father: Terry; four
sisters: Elva (Stanley) Pye, Vera (Hector) Sooley, Caroline Clarke, Janet (Jack)
Pauls and numerous nephews, nieces and other family, whom she loved dearly.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents: Douglas and Peninnah Jackson and
one brother-in-law: Edgar Clarke. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday,
May 6, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of St. Luke and St. John, Intersection Mons

MURPHY, Jeanette Mary - 55, Halifax, passed away February 8, 2004,
surrounded by angels at the V.G. Site, QEII, Halifax, NS. Born in Markland,
Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (King) Murphy
of Long Harbour, Placentia Bay. Jeanette's radiant smile and kind gestures will
never be forgotten. She touched a lot of lives while working at the hospital and
through her work in homecare. Her caring nature and compassion for helping
others also lured her to Big Sisters for a number of years. Jeanette will always be
remembered and deeply missed by her son Paul Martin, Kelowna, B.C.; brothers,
Ron (Daphne) Murphy, Odessa, Ontario; Reg (Uli) Murphy, Morewood,
Ontario; Wayne (Paulette) Murphy, Fort Francis, Ontario; Lester Murphy,
Labrador City; Peter (Judy) Murphy, Thunder Bay, Ontario; sisters, Eleanor
(John) Murphy, Prince George, B.C.; Bridie (Felix) Gambin, Grand Falls, NL;
Diane (John) McGrath, Churchill Falls, Labrador; her large Halifax family,

the V.G. Staff, especially the Palliative Care Ward and Jeanette's large circle of
close friends and acquaintances that were there for us during a most difficult
time prior to and following her passing. Burial will take place on June 19, in

at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 18 with a prayer service at 8 p.m., followed by a eulogy
in celebration of her life. A Funeral Mass, followed by interment at the
Cemetery, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 19 in Long Harbour.

PITCHER, Ethel (nee Parsons) - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles
Escasoni Complex, in the presence of her loving family, on Monday, Sept. 20,
2004, Ethel Pitcher of Mt. Pearl, formerly of Green's Harbour, aged 78 years.
Predeceased by husband Fred, infant son Leslie, son: Edward, granddaughter:
Michelle; parents: William and Suzanna; brothers: Gordon and Raymond;
sisters: Louise and Audrey. Leaving to mourn sons: Stewart (Joan), Ross (Lois),
Barry (Connie); daughters: Ruby (Ewart) Piercey, Evelyn (Ted) Reid;
daughter-in-law: Sandra (Charlie); fifteen grandchildren; twelve
great-grandchildren; brothers: Frank (Ina), Walter (Shirley); sisters: Genevieve
(Pat), Elizabeth (Eric); sisters-in-law: Bertha Pitcher, Dorothy and Helen Parsons;
uncle: Walter Peckham (Annie); friend and roommate Ruby Fisher; a large
number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Resting at
Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo from 8 pm Tuesday until time of funeral which will
be held from Faith United Church, Green's Harbour on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 2
pm. Interment to follow Faith United Church Cemetery. As expressions of
sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made
to a charity of one's choice.
PRETTY, John A. (Jack) - Passed peacefully away on May 6, 2004, age 93
years. Predeceased by parents Elijah and Elizabeth; brothers: Thomas, Leo,
Clarence, James and sisters: Ida, Lucy and Ellen. Leaving to mourn Mary, his
wife of 66 years; his nephew John F. (Phyllis), Chapel Arm and daughter Estelle
(Glenn), Alberta; grandchildren; nieces and nephews; also a large number of
relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home at Whitbourne.
Visitation on Thursday, May 6, 2004 from 7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and Friday, May
7, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on
Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Chapel Arm.

PRICE, Alfreda - Passed peacefully away on April 27th, at the age of 96 at the
home of her son, Bertram, with whom she resided, Alfreda Price, formerly of
Hant's Harbour, Trinity Bay. Predeceased by her husband, Bertram, in 1980.
Leaving to mourn her sons: Bertram Jr. (Lorraine) and Everett F. (Lorne); seven
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister: Elsie Newhook of Long Cove,
T. Bay. Also numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. Resting
at Green's Funeral Home in Winterton. Visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon,
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Wednesday and 10:00 am to 12:00 noon
Thursday. A service of celebration will be held at the Hant's Harbour
Pentecostal Church, Hant's Harbour @ 2:00 pm Thursday. Flowers will be
gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Hant's
Harbour Pentecostal Church or to Bethesda Pentecostal Church in St. John's.
