VOKEY, Chesley - Passed peacefully away after a short illness at Health Sciences Centre, St. John`s on Thursday, February 6, 2003, Chesley Vokey of George`s Brook, aged 59 years. Predeceased by his daughter Lisa. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Bertha of 29 years; sons: Shawn (Jerelynn), Golden, B.C. and Craig (Shawna), Clarenville; sister Naomi (Warrick Toope); brother Abner Vokey, Random Island; four sisters: Beatrice, Mary, Lorraine and Joan; grandchildren John, Kaleigh, Shawna and Liam and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer`s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, February 9, 2003 from St. Mary`s Anglican Church, Clarenville with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Children`s Wish Foundation.

WALL, Georgina - Passed peacefully away at the St. Clare`s Hospital on Sept. 11, 2003 in her 77th year Georgina Wall of Whitbourne. Predeceased by her daughter Christine, 1970. Leaving to mourn husband John Thomas of 59 years; daughters Providence, Margaret (Onslow), Helen (Winston), Emmie (Ed), Ann (Elwood), Mary (Les), Rose (Dale); sons: Martin (Barbara), Tim (Faith); thirty grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; brothers George Barrett, Jack Barrett (Jane); sister Lenora Vokey. Also, a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway`s Funeral Home, 17 Cabot Ave., Whitbourne. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Alphonsus Church, Whitbourne. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to The Diabetes Association or the St. Alphonsus Church Cemetery Fund.

WARREN, Eunice (Nettie, nee White) - Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Sunday, January 5, 2003, aged 94 years, formerly from New Perlican. Predeceased by her husband Willis in 1982. She leaves to mourn daughters, Mabel Murphy (Stan), Halifax, Eliza Reeve (Dean), St. John`s and Edith Booker (Ken), Halifax; sons, Philip (Lona), St. John`s, Willis (Rose), New Perlican and Max (Lorraine), Labrador City; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many friends at Chancellor Park. Special thanks are extended to the management and staff of Chancellor Park for their loving care. Resting at Green`s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visitation from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7. Funeral at St. Augustine`s Anglican Church, New Perlican at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8. Flowers will be gratefully received or contributions in her memory may be made to The Cemetery Fund, St. Augustine`s Anglican Church, New Perlican.

WARREN, Percy Allan - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, Sunday, March 16, 2003, Percy Allan Warren in his 92nd year. Predeceased by wives: Lydia, Pheobe, three sons, one daughter, parents: Melinda and Benjamin Warren, brother John, sister, Deliliah. Left to mourn his loving wife, Gladys (nee Earle); son: Winston (Violet); daughters: Eileen, Paradise, Lydia, Toronto, Lucy, Saint John, NB; stepson Allan Earle (Sharon), step-daughter, Dorothy Mountain (George); fourteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; brother, Levi (Rhoda); sisters: Elizabeth Piercey, Matilda Newhook, Gladys (Andrew) Cooper; also a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway`s Funeral Home, Whitbourne, Wednesday, March 19. Resting at the Norman`s Cove Lions Club, Thursday at 9:00 am. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 20 at 11:00 am from the Norman`s Cove Lions Club. Interment to follow at the Nondenominational Cemetery, Norman`s Cove. Ministers officiating: William Bryant and Eric Lockhart. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the Janeway Children`s Hospital.

WELLS, Jessie - Passed peacefully away on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at the age of 89 years. beloved aunt of Ivy (nee Stanley), like a daughter, married to Glenn Ploughman. Much loved as grandmother of Craig, Tera (Jeff) Livingstone and Christopher, all of Ottawa. Lovingly remembers by sisters Blanche (John) Preston, Clarenville and Lillian (late Simeon) Goodyear, Bonavista; her sister-in-law, Bertha (late Raymond) Dyke, Bonavista; the Wells extended family, mostly of St. John`s and a large circle of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Predeceased by her husband, Olsen Wells (March 1975), her sister, Evelyn (late Lawrence) Stanley, Raymond and Wilson (late Verna) Dyke. łAunt Jessie˛, as she was known to most, was loved and admired by all who knew her for her kindness, love of life and determination. She is deeply cherished and she will be in our hearts and minds forever. Visitations: Strathie`s Funeral Home in Bonavista from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 18, 2003, the United Church, Bonavista at 2 p.m. Flowers appreciated, or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the Bonavista Hospital. we wish to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of the Bonavista Hospital for their committed care and attention as well as the staff of St. Clare`s Hospital during her illness, January-April 2002.

WELLS, Roland Norman - Passed peacefully away at Hoyles Escasoni Complex, St. John`s on Monday, August 11, 2003, Roland Norman Wells of Shoal Harbour, aged 70 years. Predeceased by his parents Willis and Isabelle and his brother Samuel. Leaving to mourn sister-in-law Verna Wells; nephews: Edwin (Caroline), Gary, Dale (Wanda) and Dean; niece Karen and a circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer`s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2003 from Shoal Harbour United Church with interment at United Church Cemetery, Church Hill, Shoal Harbour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation.

WELSH, Delilah (Bryant) - Sept. 26, 1930 - March 24, 2003. Passed away suddenly at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 24, 2003, Delilah Welsh of Islington. Precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and mother-in-law, whom we all loved, aged 72 years. Predeceased by parents, Mary and Lewis Bryant and granddaughter Claudette Marie Reid. Leaving to mourn husband Claude; one son Wayne (Peggy), Corner Brook; one daughter Lisa (Wilbert) Reid, Islington; grandchildren: Michael, Brian and Gina Welsh, Corner Brook, Tara-Lee and Terry Reid, Islington; great-granddaughter Victoria, Corner Brook; two sisters: Louie Jane (Eldred Reid), Scarborough, Ontario, Mary (Garf Tiller), Corner Brook; one brother Elwin Bryant, Islington; also lovingly remembered by a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Matthew`s Parish Hall, Islington from Wednesday 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Matthew`s Anglican Church, Heart`s Delight on Friday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow St. Matthew`s Anglican Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to St. Matthew`s Anglican Church Memorial Fund, Heart`s Delight. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Warren`s Funeral Home, Dildo.

WILLIAMS, J. Reginald - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, June 8, 2003, Reg Williams of New Harbour, age 74 years. Predeceased by his parents, Cyril and Mary, and his grandson, Ryan. Leaving to mourn his best friend and wife of 54 years, Rowena; his five sons: Berrick (Sharon), Wallace (Julie), Mervin (Maureen), Tony (Joann), Chris (Sherry), and three daughters: Catherine Piercey (Morgan), Marie Rowsell (Alex), Della Piercey (Terry); seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and his loving sister, Beatrice Marsh. Also, a large number of nephews and nieces, other relatives, and many friends. Resting at Warrens Funeral Home, Dildo. Funeral service will be held from St. Augustines Anglican Church, New Harbour, on Wednesday, June 11th, at 2 pm. Interment to follow at St. Augustines Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to The Children`s Wish Foundation.

WISEMAN, Evalcna (Dolly) - December 8, 1910 - January 27, 2003. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare`s Hospital Monday morning, January 27, 2003, Dolly Wiseman of Shoal Harbour. Predeceased by her husband Cyril. Leaving to mourn her four children: Mervie (Morley Adams), Boyna Northover, Wilson (Barbara), Tom; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Resting at Fewer`s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Tuesday, 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday, 10:00 to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 4:00 pm, 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Thursday 10:00 to 12:00 noon. Funeral will be held at Shoal Harbour United Church on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at 2:00 pm. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to the Shoal Harbour United Church Special Fund.
