RABUN, Annie Janet - Passed away peacefully December 2, 2003, at Rapelje Lodge Nursing Home, Welland, Ontario, with her brother by her side. Born at Norman`s Cove, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, September, 1923. Predeceased by her husband Neal (1981), mother and father Sarah Elizabeth and Caleb Thorne. With fond and loving memories of Annie Janet are her sisters; Florretta Pender, Emily Maud Branton, Louisa Hatcher (Jack), Elizabeth Miller, Evelyn Pearl Dicks (Eric); her brother Robert Thorne; her sister-in-law June and many nieces and nephews. Her tender care has been assigned to Hetherington and Deans Funeral Chapel, Niagara Falls, Ontario, 905-354-5614. Annie Janet will be resting in peace, next to her husband in Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, Georgia.

RALPH, James Patrick - After a long battle with Cancer since 1997 and a fighting struggle to the end, on September 2, 2003 surrounded by his family, James Patrick Ralph of Bellevue, Trinity Bay went to rest with God at the age of 79 years. He will be sadly missed and forever loved by his wife Madeline, his five daughters: Rose, Marguerite, Pat, Sandy and Josephine; his five sons: David, Myles, William, Jim (Jr.), and Ambrose and all their families including thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He will also be missed and remembered fondly by many other loved relatives and close friends. We will live on in his Spirit, Love, Life and Laughter. Resting at his home Wednesday night. Resting at St. Anne`s Sacred Heart Church, Thursday at 1:00 pm. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, Sept. 5th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to St. Anne`s Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Holloway`s Funeral Home, Whitbourne.

RANDELL, Margaret (nee Freeman) - Passed away peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital after a short illness, Margaret Randell (nee Freeman) in her 85th year, formerly of Port Rexton, Trinity Bay. Predeceased by husband Joseph Randell in 1976. Leaving to mourn her son Roger (Joyce) Randell of Meadows; granddaughter Jennifer (Matthew) Walters, Curling; grandson Nicholas Randell, Meadows. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Port Rexton, at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

REGULAR, Frances - Passed away suddenly at her home in Heart`s Content on Saturday, September 6, 2003, Mrs. Frances Regular, age 81 years. Leaving to mourn one daughter Eleanor (Lewis Andrews), Heart`s Desire; one son Bernard (Marina), Heart`s Content. Five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James and John Piercey, Heart`s Content. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Green`s Funeral Home, Winterton. REID, Margaret Grace (nee Ball) - Age 62 of Shoal Harbour. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare`s Hospital on Thursday, July 24, 2003 in the presence of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Leaving to mourn her loving husband, Roy; sons Greg (Mary), Russ (Karen), Darrin (Eileen) and Shawn (Michele); daughters Katherine (Roger George), Suanne (Geoff Budden), Sherrie, Sharron and Heather (Adam Bastow); granddaughters Joy Hiscock, Jamie Hiscock, Jillian Reid, Laura Budden and Erica Budden and baby Reid (due in September); grandsons Matthew and Travis; brother Geoff Ball (Louise); brother-in-law Douglas Reid; sister-in-law Jean Hillier; and many other relatives and friends; (recently predeceased by brother-in-law Wilmore Reid). Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Fewer`s Funeral Home, Clarenville Saturday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, funeral service to take place Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from United Church, Shoal Harbour. Margaret supported many charities, including those in support of Christian Children`s Fund, leprosy relief and cancer research. REID, Stella (Pearl) - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 3, 2003, Stella (Pearl) Reid of Green`s Harbour, in her 97th year. Predeceased by husband, Alfred; sister, Delores; son, James; and granddaughter, Cavell. Leaving to mourn sons: Stanley (Nellie), Allan (Venus); thirteen grandchildren (special granddaughter Diane); eighteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jessie Reader; brother-in-law, Hector Reid (Rita); and many more relatives and friends. Resting at Faith United Church, Green`s Harbour, from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2003. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Green`s Harbour. REID, Wesley, May 27, 1948 - July 27, 2003 - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, July 27, Wesley Reid of Dildo, aged 55 years two months. Predeceased by parents Walter and Clara, brother Ricky, in-laws Elmer and Jean Brown. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife Gloria, children Ricky, Tanya and Debbie. Lovingly remember by sister Gladys Newhook (Gilbert), Norman`s Cove, brothers Walter (Joyce) Gerald (Mary), Max (Betty), Lem (Brenda), Dildo, sister-in-law Susan Kennon (John), Toronto. Uncle Noah Reid, Dildo and Aunt Ethel Anthony, Seal Cove, also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren`s Funeral Home, Dildo. SWANSON, Margaret (Comerford) - Passed peacefully away with courage and dignity on March 28, 2003, aged 88 years, after a lengthy illness. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband of 60 years, Eric, her children Brian, Eleanor and Mary, brothers-in-law Roy Swanson (Yvette) of Vancouver, Glenn Swanson (Mary) of Mississauga, her many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many dear friends and caregivers. She grew up in Hearts Content and spent most of her life in Buchans. It was a full and joyful life which she lived in her own unique way, always caring for family and friends. Visitation at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 3-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2003. Funeral Service 3 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2003 from the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. TRIMM, Helena - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, June 2, 2003, Mrs. Helena Trimm of New Chelsea, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband Arthur, March 2002. Leaving to mourn two daughters: Elaine Soper (Cecil), Hant`s Harbour and Helen Gordon (Max), Scotland; one son: Baden (Marie), Hant`s Harbour; three granddaughters and one grandson; two sisters: Betty Flemming and Dorothy Greenhorn, both of Scotland; five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Green`s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Tuesday 10-12, 2-5 and 7-10 p.m., Wednesday visitation will take place at Wesley United Church, New Chesley from 10 a.m. - 12 Noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with interment in the United Church Cemetery, New Chelsey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nfld. Cancer Treatment Research Foundation.
