VALLIS, Minnie - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, November 7, 2002, Minnie Vallis of Brownsdale, age 69 years. Leaving to mourn spouse George and children: Jean Gardiner (Paul), Steve (Irene), Wayne (Karen), Peggy Gulliford (Paul), Joe (Esma), Ken (Sharon), Perry (Tracy); thirteen grandchildren; three sisters: Gwen, Bertha and Irene; one brother, Oscar Matthews; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. At Minnie`s request cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at Green`s Funeral Home, Winterton, on Monday, November 11, 2002, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will take place at the United Church, Brownsdale, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Private family inurnment to follow at a later date. VARDY, Wilson Francis (Frank) - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Friday, November 8, 2002, Wilson Francis (Frank) Vardy of Robinsons Bight, aged 74 years. Predeceased by son Jim, 1982. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Olive of 54 years; daughters, Beverly (Navin Lambert), Robinsons Bight, Joann (Calvin Smith), Clarenville; sons, Edgar, Eric (Leona) and Robert, all of Ontario; sister Myrtle Buller, Ontario; brothers, Allan (Ruth), Lady Cove; Stan, Ontario, Don (Vicky), Saskatchewan; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and a large number of relatives and friends.
