WHITE, Irene - Passed peacefully away on May 31, 2006, at Lion's Manor in Placentia, Irene White, aged 77. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughters: Lisa, Beverly, Judy, Florence, Anne and Rozalind; sons: Jerry and Gary; twenty-three grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; brothers: Robert and Llewelyn; and dear friend and companion Frank. Visitation on Saturday, June 3, 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Bethel United Church in Norman's Cove. Funeral Service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, at Bethel United Church. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Compassion of Canada, P.O. Box 5591, London, ON, N6A 9Z9.

WHITE, Irene M. - Entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on May 31, 2006 at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia, Irene White, age 77 years, of Long Cove. Predeceased by husband Stanley; parents, John and Florence Smith; brother Malcolm Smith; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Elizabeth (Ernest), Lucy (Seymour), Carrie (Cleophas); sisters-in-law: Rebecca Smith and Marina Smith. Leaving behind to celebrate her life, two sons: Jerry (Mabel), Garry (Vera); six daughters: Rosalind (Howard), Anne (Paul), Florence (Derm), Judy (Tom), Beverly (Lloyd), Lisa (Craig); twenty-one grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Llewellyn Smith (Marion), Robert J. Smith; sister-in-law Dorcas; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Bethel United Church, Norman's Cove. Family will be present for visitation, Saturday, June 3, 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Interment at the United Church Cemetery, Norman's Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne.

WHITE, Maria Emmaline (nee Newhook) - 1931 - 2006. Passed away suddenly at the St. Clare's Hospital, St. John's on July 3, 2006, of Long Cove. Leaving to mourn husband, Cleophas; sons: Llewellyn, Robert (Rose), P.E.I., Garfield, Harry Otto (Arlene), New Harbour, Berkley, Charles, Stephen, Cleophas Jr.; daughters: Mabel, Emmaline Jesso (Charles), Halifax; grandchildren: Robert, Tammy, Andrew, Matthew, Angela, Charles, Ashley, Amy; great-grandchildren: Rene , Mitchell, Christian; brothers: Clement Newhook (Irene), Robert Newhook (Marion)); sisters-in-law: Caroline White, Beulah Newhook, Aggie White; brother-in-law: Garfield White (Gladys). Resting at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Norman's Cove. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 6 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Norman's Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne.

WHITE, Leander Edward - Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, Leander White, age 83 years of Long Cove. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 56 years, Agnes; two sons: Garfield (Stella), Edward (Connie); three daughters: Evelyn (Terry), Mary (David), Kim (Gary); twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Pheobe Thorne; two brothers: Garfield (Gladys) White, Cleophas (Emaline) White; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Norman's Cove, Thursday, June 1st from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.; Friday, June 2nd from 10 a.m. until time of funeral. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 5:00 p.m. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Norman's Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne.
