ELLIOTT, Ross - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John`s on Friday, January 7, 2000, Ross Elliott of Clarenville, in his 67th year. Predeceased by mother and father, Maude and William Elliott of Raleigh and sister Phyllis Thistle of Baie Verte. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Myrtle of 42 years; one daughter Wanda (Gary Bateman) of Madoc, ON; two sons: Bruce of Toronto, ON and Kevin (Jane) of St. John`s; one sister Hazel Butt, St. John`s; four brothers: Chesley (Olive), Wilbert (Juanita), Ernest (Vida), all of Raleigh and Kenneth (Rita) of Burlington; two grandchildren Meghan and Colin and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer`s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Funeral 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2000 from Memorial United Church, Clarenville followed by cremation with family interment at Memorial United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Fund to Cross Memorial Health Care Foundation, Cat Scan Unit.

FRAMPTON, Frederick C. - Passedaway suddenly on Wednesday, December 13, 2000. Aged 71 years. Beloved husband of Marjorie and loving father of Andy (Starr), Toronto and precious grandson William. Also leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: mother-in-law Gladys Dodge; brother-in-law Jehu (Joan) Dodge; sisters-in-law: Lillian (Wilfred) Loder, Hillview, T.B. and Marilyn, Bellview, Ont. Also leaving to mourn several special nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place from St. Augustines Anglican Church on Saturday, December 16, 2000 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation.

FRENCH, Hannah - Passed peacefully away at St. Luke`s Home, St. John`s, on Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, Mrs. Hannah French of Winterton, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband Uriah, May 19, 1986. Leaving to mourn: three daughters: Joan Saunders (Ray), Winterton, Eleanor Gilbertson, Regina, Sask. and Nellie Sooley (Clarence); one son Max (Debbie), Elliot Lake; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one sister Eleanor Callahan. Resting at Green`s Funeral Home, Winterton. Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Luke`s Memorial Fund, Winterton.

GEORGE, Dorothy - Passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Agnes Pratt Home on Saturday, August 19th, 2000 Dorothy Leah George of New Harbour, Trinity Bay. Age 79 years. Predeceased by her first husband Andrew, 1973 and her second husband Munden, 1997. Leaving with loving memories, her daughter Kay (Kevin), St. John`s; sons: Doug (May), Andy (Florence), Wayne (Sandy), New Harbour, Lorne (Pam), Mt. Pearl; step-children: Gerry (Doris), Glen (Fran), Ontario, Beryl (Kevin), Ireland; 13 grandchildren: Andy, Diane (JD), Mariayne (Chris), Melanie, Michelle, Penney, Lea, Amy, Niki, Ian, Hollie, Mark and Erin; 5 step-grandchildren: Matthew, Shirley, Tara, Sarah and Sean; 2 beautiful great-grandchildren: Matthew and Katie. Also leaving to mourn 6 sisters: Mildred Newhook, Cassie Tait (Harry), Irene Lacy (Ron), Ada Lane (Jack), Grand Falls-Windsor, Verna Milley (Bert), Edmonton, Dora Woodman (Bob); one brother Leonard (Audrey), New Harbour; sisters-in-law: Maria Rose, New Jersey and Alma George, Ontario; dear friend and sister-in-law Vida Trickett, Clarenville; brothers-in-law: Lloyd George, Dildo, Ed George (Thelma), Ontario. Also leaving to mourn many other relatives and friends, including wonderful friends and caregivers at the Agnes Pratt Home. Resting at Warren`s Funeral Home, Dildo, Sunday 8-10 p.m., Monday 10-12, 2-4 and 7-10 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Augustine`s Anglican Church, New Harbour on Tuesday, August 22nd at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Agnes Pratt Home or St. Augustine`s Cemetery Fund, New Harbour.

GEORGE, Lucas Edward Clarence - "Ours for a little while, safe in the arms of Jesus forever." Lucas Edward Clarence passed peacefully away in the loving arms of his parents, while at the Janeway Child Health Centre on Friday, November 10, 2000. This darling little angel now watches from Heaven. All those mourning their loss, Daddy and Mommy, Edward and Lisa (Jackson) and precious big sister Ashley; loving grandparents, Albert and Alma Jackson (Cavendish) and Charles and Mary George (Dildo); and great-grandfather, Harrison Hillier (Green`s Harbour); caring aunts and uncles, Lorna Budgell (Todd), Madonna Newhook (William), Sandra Jones (Sheldon), Lori Anne Higdon (Rodney) and Mary George (Terry Tuttle); special cousins: Matthew, Jonathan, Billy, Darrell, Kaitlyn, Jeremy and Jonah. Also sharing the family`s loss is a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Cavendish on Monday, November 13, 2000. Donations in Lucas` memory may be made to the Janeway Children`s Hospital. "Little angels come from Heaven and always will return to rest in God`s arms, to guard us until we meet again.".

GEORGE, Kevin Ward - Passed peacefully away at the W.H. Newhook Community Health Centre, Whitbourne, on his 67th birthday, Thursday, April 6, 2000, Kevin George, of Blaketown. Leaving to mourn wife Eileen; sons: Ward (Karen); Robert (Donna); Neal (Cindy); Michael; daughter Jennifer; five grandchildren; mother Julia George and brother Edward George (Hazel); a large number of other relatives and many friends. Resting at Warren`s Funeral Home, Dildo. Funeral service will be held from St. Augustine`s Anglican Church, New Harbour on Saturday, April 8, 2000 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, New Harbour. Leaving to mourn her daughter Shirley Golden (Bill); three grandchildren: Sharon and Kim of Alberta, Debbie (Bob) of Kilbride, with whom she resided; six great-grandchildren: Billy, Harris, Chris of Alberta, Lori of Bermuda, Shauna and Ashley of Kilbride; two great-great-grandchilren: Bethany and Kenny of Alberta; very special cousin, Don Moulton (Belle) of Winterland; brother-in-law, Robert George (Vivian), Whiteway; sisters-in-law: Nora Taylor and Madeline Legge; a large number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at St. George the Martyr Church, Whiteway from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted,or donations in her memory may be made to St. George the Martyr Church Memorial Fund. Predeceased by husband Thomas Gilbert, son-in-law, Roy Dicks. Leaving to mourn one daughter: Ada (special friend, Harvey Oak) of Manuels; one son: Wayne (wife Bernice), Toronto, Ont.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Resting at Holloway`s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday 10 a.m. until time of Funeral. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, at 2 p.m. from the Anglican Church, Blaketown, with interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, . Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Anglican Church, Blaketown.

GREEN, Elsie M. (nee Sooley) - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, Elsie Green of Green`s Harbour, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband John C. Green, October 8, 1981, great-granddaughter, Laura Green & sister Ida Green (Elwood). Leaving to mourn, with fond & loving memories, her eight children: Jack (Barb), Ed (Daphne), Charlie (Daphne), Norma (Jim), Graham (Elsie), Rona (Wade), Bonnie (Randy), Rhonda (Randy), sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters: Hilda & Evelyn (Bill), brothers: Hobert (Norma) & Eldred. Also lovingly remembered by a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. Resting at Faith United Church, Green`s Harbour, from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow United Church Cemetery, Green`s Harbour. Resting at Green`s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Wednesday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. GREEN, Norman - Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, June 19, 2000, Norman Green of Gander, age 78 years. Predeceased by wife Patricia (1995); sisters: Dorcas Crane, Betty Button, Elsie Maud and brother William. Left with loving memories are son Jeffrey, Seoul, Korea; daughters: Judy Perry (Glen), St. John`s, Joan Stoyles (Reginald), Topsail, Joyce Locke (Brian), Grand Falls-Windsor; also brother David Green (Mary), Carbonear; sisters: Susie Cumby (Bill), Heart`s Content, Leah Smith, Clarenville; as well as grandchildren: Susan, Mark, Stephanie, Sarah, Adam and Amy; dear friend Miriam Thistle, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service Thursday, June 22, 2000 at 2 p.m. from Fraser Road United Church, Gander. Interment in All Saint`s Cemetery, Gander. Donations may be made to the Shriners Children`s Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Stacey`s Funeral Home, Gander.

GREEN, Rev. Dr. Robert Bertram (Bert) - Passed peacefully away in Kingston, Ont., formerly of Winterton, Trinity Bay, NF, after a short struggle with cancer in his 89th year, on Thursday, September 7, 2000. He leaves behind to mourn his beloved wife of 58 years, Signe (Mills) from Thoroughfare, Random Island; three daughters: Judith Ann Wells (Dr. Wm. Wells), Daphne Mills Choquette (Herb) and Glenyth Signe Shaw (Ralph); six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Maude LeGrow (Matthew, deceased) of Broad Cove, NF; and a brother, Nicholas Green (Sophie) of Vancouver, BC. Predeceased by sisters Betty Robbins (Cliff) and Lena Hyatt (Van). He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Cremation followed his death. A Memorial Service and a tribute to Bert`s life is planned for Friday, September 22, 2000 at Edith Rankin Memorial United Church, Kingston, Ontario. He will be sorely missed but forever remembered.
