and second world wars by first the father then the son.

The inscription on bottom of second page reads
May God Bless you my son and bring you safe
home to us again and may this book help
you as it helped me in the Great War of 1914

After the first world war Uncle Gill worked with Lt Col T Nangle on repatriation
efforts of NFLD soldiers who died overseas.
