ADAMS, Violet (Holley) nee Brown - Passed peacefully away on March 10, 1999 age 71, at Roddickton Hospital, Violet Adams formerly of St. Lewis, Labrador. Predeceased by husband Paul Holley, 1991. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories husband Harold Adams, Roddickton; son Kevin (Sharon) Holley, Kilbride; daughters: Ruby (Franklin) Miller, Mount Pearl, Theresa (Charles) Martin, Dildo, Ivy (Bruce) Acreman, Dildo, Dora (Edgar) Poole, St. Lewis; grandchildren: Baby Paul, Ricky, Paula, Jason, Wanda, Craig, Debbie, Sandra, Bonnie, Kimberly, Deano, Rudy and Amy; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Val Brown and Clifford Brown; sister Effie Bridger; lovingly remembered by her step-children: Bobby, Ford, Enos, Judy, Goodwin, Maisie and families; also a large number of other relatives and friends. ALLEN, Irma (nee Cook) - Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick`s Mercy Home on Wednesday, October 20, 1999, aged 94 years. Predeceased by her husband George W.D. Allen; brothers: Keith and Roy; and sister Doris Wheeler, Corner Brook. Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory, daughters: Diane Caughie (Reg) and Barbara McKim (John), St. John`s; also five grandchildren: Susan Caughie, Halifax, Stephen Caughie, Calgary, Keith McKim (Sonia), Wabush, Wendy McKim, St John`s and Sharon Ryan (Will), Clarenville; one great-grandson Jordan Caughie; niece Bertha Butler, Botwood; and nephew Graham Wheeler, Corner Brook; other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place from The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 23, 1999 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent, 1984; son Cyril (1981 Arctic Explorer Tragedy); baby Kathleen, 1940. Leaving to mourn four sons: James (Theresa), St. John`s, Mike (Louise), Wabush, Don (Blanche), Knights Cove, Vince (Margie), Wabush; six daughters: Mary (Jim) O`Neill, Enfield, NS, Eileen (Albert) Linchan, Gander, Rose (W. Bruce) Power, St. John`s, Sadie Murphy (Gerald), Lab. City, Gertrude Aylward (John), Dartmouth, NS, Bernadette (Ray), Barker, Open Hall; also brother Andrew Gallahue, Gander; and four sisters: Bride Nolan, Sadie Harty, Kate Mahoney and Bertha Keough, all in New York; loving grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; as well, special life-long friend Kate Barker and all her friends at Shirley`s Haven, Catalina; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Gordon; sisters: Winnie, Maude and Dora. Leaving to mourn son, Art (Louise); daughter, Joan Moyse (Bob); grandchildren: Amy Andrews and Stephen (Christine) and Christopher Moyse; brother-in-law Cyril Andrews; sister-in-law Annie White; nine nephews and nieces. A mother of unconditional love and a kind and generous soul to many, she is survived by her only son, John Aaron of Calgary, Alberta. She will be sadly missed by her other relatives, many friends and extended family at Chancellor Park.
