Augustus was born 4 September 1897 in Spillars Cove, Bonavista. The son of Alfred and Margaret Street.

His name is on the cenotaph plaque in Bonavista, and his WWl military photo is on the wall of their Legion.

Augustus died on 5 April 1917 and is buried in the Old Anglican Cemetery, Bonavista
