Lil and Fred when they were first married or engagement picture.

Frederick George Scott was born on the 18th of November, 1900 in Channel-Port aux Basques, Newfoundland to John Reuben Galton Scott and Dinah Anne Bennett Scott.
He was the eldest of nine children.
Fred served as a soldier in the Royal Newfoundland Regiment during World War 1. He left for the USA in the early 1920's and relocated to the Massachusetts area of the US.
Fred married Lilly Pepper, and together they had 5 children together. Fred worked as a real estate agent in the Newbury Port region before his death in 1966.

OBITUARY

Dec 3 1966 Frederick George Scott, 66, died yesterday morning in hospital in Newbury, Mass., where he had been a patient for the past month.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Scott, he was born in Port aux Basques, Nfld., and moved the United Sates about 45 years ago.
He was a real estate agent, and resided at 99 High Road, NewburyPort.
Besides his wife, Mr. Scott is survived by two sons, four daughters, and 11 grandchildren all in the U.S.,
four sisters, Ethel (Mrs. Albert Moulton), Peabody, Mass., Evelyn (Mrs. John Lawrence), Hamilton, Ont.,
Dorothy (Mrs. Ralph MacNeil), Spryfield N.S., and Pearl (Mrs. Baxter Martin), Sydney, and one brother, Gordon Scott, Sydney.

The funeral will take place Mon in Newbury.
