Daniel Joseph Moore #741 Royal Newfoundland Regiment

Enlisted December 16, 1914 at St.John's, Newfoundland and was discharged on April 25, 1919.
He served 4 years and 131 days. Reason discharge "demobilization".
There is a leather bound paybook which is missing some pages but the first entry reads 31/1/16
with remarks under casualty and the officers name who made the entry appears to be. J.J. Donnelley.
This is followed by another entry under casualty on 29/7/16.
On the second page there are listed cash payments and where they were made
ranging from 1915 to 1916 places listed include ?S.S.Megantic, ?Cairo, ?Suez,
My mother who is now 87 (his daughter) says there are medals in the house but we have not been able to locate them yet.

He was born in February 1896 in Newfoundland and died in June 1976 in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
