Those Who Came After The Original 500

William and Fredrick Lewis

Donated by Mary Abbass

William [seated in the left photo] and Frederick Lewis, who were soldiers in the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in World War 1. The picture of the soldiers is actually a postcard that was sent to their parents, who lived in St. John's on Colonial Street.

William was married to Sarah Pendergast, from Admiral's Cove. They lived in Brooklyn but he is buried in the Cape Broyle cemetery. He died in 1948 at the age of 56.
