Frank Hynes (Haas) Regt # 4117|
Frank was the son of Toussiant Haas and Mary Penny of Brent's Cove, Newfoundland.
He was born on August 2,1898. He enlisted with the Newfoundland Regiment
on November 14,1917, and was sent overseas in England. He was wounded on October 23, 1918 and admitted to Mile-End Military Hospital in London where he was treated for a gun shot wound to the hand,(compound thumb fracture) He returned to St. John's, Newfoundland from Liverpool in 1919, served a liitle time in St. John's before returning to live in Brent's Cove in 1921. Frank died on June 1, 1922. |
