George Hall House

From Hare Bay, Bonavista, George and his father went to work in Grand Falls during the construction stage of the mill (1904-06).
When WWI started in Sept. 1914, George was employed in the mill operations there.
As an incentive to get young men to enlist, The A.N.D. Co. of Grand Falls, guaranteed its single employees
that there would be a job waiting at the mill for all returnees who would volunteer for War Services.
George was 26 years of age and single when he enlisted on Dec. 19, 1916.
