Albert enlisted February 12, 1915 - 1st Newfoundland Regiment;
Embarked St. John's for overseas on S.S. Stephano April 22, 1915;
Drafted to the British Mediterranean Expeditionary Force and embarked for Gallolipi November 14, 1915;
Admitted to hospital in Mudros, Greece on November 30, 1915 with measles;
Joined unit January 16, 1916;
Embarked Port Suez March 14, 1916;
Disembarked Marseilles March 22, 1916;
Killed in action, Beaumont Hamel, July 1, 1916, age 22

Albert is remembered in the
Beaumont-Hamel (Newfoundland) Memorial
Somme, France
