60th wedding anniversary
holding a telegram from the Queen

 

Frank Dawe was born on 10/3/1900 in Foxtrap, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.
He was a private in the 1st Newfounfdland regiment winning the Military Medal at 17 1/2 yrs old .
He then went on to serve in the Royal Navy and was mentioned in depatches for good services at sea.
He returned to life in Kilmarnock, Scotland after WWII and settled there with his Scottish wife,
living well into his eighties with his 'newfie' accent in tact!
