Dear Madam,
I am desired by the Committee to express their regret at the news that Private S. Cole is in Hospital suffering from Frostbitten feet.
You may rest assured that everything possible will be done for him there, to assist his recovery.
This association has arranged that all men of the Newfoundland Regiment shall be visited while in Hospital, and supplied with extra comforts not provided by Hospital regulations.
We trust you may soon hear that your son is completely restored to health.
Yours Sincerely,

Letter from Government House dated 15 Apr 1918 signed by Gov. Harris
