Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

Jacob Bradbury was the son of Joshua Bradbury amd Frances French. Jacob was married to Elizabeth Jane Mercer of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland. They had five children which were Ethel Maude Bradbury whom married John Snook; Mina Isabel Bradbury whom married Joseph Baggs; William Mercer Bradbury whom married Mary Ann Hiscock; Clarence Bradbury (died young); and Joshua Bradbury whom married Ruth Taylor.

There are two notes for Joshua and Ruth:
#1 - Uncle Jacob and his family moved to Boston, Mass in 1904 shortly after their marriage and returned to visit Bay Roberts in the summer of 1914.
#2 - Uncle Jacob's children were married in the States and raised their families and died there.

Thank you so much!!!! I kept hitting a brick wall when it came to who Jacob parents were. So very much appreciated. You wouldn't happen to know anything about Mary A Hiscock? Bless you and have a wonderful New Year!

All I have on Mary A Hiscock is that she was born in Carbonear. I suspect she would be the same age as her husband William Mercer Bradbury which was about 1898+/-. The sources that I have come across (Rootsweb) go from about 1860 to 1890. After that it's the 1921 census.
