Will of Aquila Woolfrey, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 pages 355 & 356 probate year 1931

AQUILA WOOLFREY

I Aquila Woolfrey of Horwood Newfoundland being of sound mind memory and understanding do make my last will and testament in manner and form following.
First. I give, advise and bequeath to my wife Rachel, her heirs and assigns forever three thousand five hundred dollars, and household furniture and utensils.
Second. I give, advise and bequeath to my daughter, Gertrude Bemister, two thousand dollars, and dwelling house situated number fifty two, Monroe Street, St John's Newfoundland.
Third. I give, devise and bequeath to my Granddaughter Ada Payne two thousand dollars.
Fourth. I give advise and bequeath to my brother Fred Woolfrey and to my half brother Samuel Woolfrey, dwelling house and land situated at Lewisporte, Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland share and share alike.
Fifth: I give devise and bequeath to my granddaughter Effie Rideout two thousand dollars and the residue of my estate.
Sixth: I hereby appoint Edwin Mews executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I Aquila Woolfrey the testator have to this my last will and testament set my hand and my seal this fifteenth day of October A.D. 1930.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Aquila Woolfrey as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto in presence of said testator and of each other.

Codicil to the above will
I do now by this writing add this codicil to said will to be taken as part thereof.
The dwelling house number fifty two Monroe Street St John's Nfld bequeathed in the body of this will to my daughter Gertrude Bemister shall be hers as long as she lives, and after her death I give and bequeath the said house to her son Louis Bemister.
