Will of William Gilbert Withycombe from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 309 probate year 1928

In re       DECEASED.
      WILLIAM GILBERT WITHYCOMBE.

This is the last will and testament of me William Gilbert Withycombe of St. John's in the island of Newfoundland, Trunk maker.
First I appoint my brother in law William Campbell to be my executor of this my will.
Second. I give all my interest in the new house built by my son Allan and myself to my son Allan.
Third. I give factory and the land used and enjoyed therewith to my sons Allan and Hedley in equal shares (except as to the ground flat) said ground flat I give to my son Hedley. My son Allan to own the eastern half of top and middle flats and my son Hedley to own the Western half of top and middle flats, on the death of my son Hedley my son Allan will take my son Hedley's part.
Fourth. I give the machinery in said factory to my sons Allan and Hedley.
Fifth. I give my stock in trade, and my tools to my son Hedley.
Sixth. I give my cart, carriage, sleigh, and harness to my son Hedley.
Seventh. I give my house in which I now reside and the land used and enjoyed therewith including the garden, and the right of way to the running water, to my son Hedley and housekeeper Hannah Pike for their joint lives, and upon the death of either to the survivor for his or her life, and then to my son Gilbert or should he then be dead to his child or children then living. I further will that the said Hannah Pike shall have sole charge of the property mentioned in this paragraph whilst she shall live.
Eight. I give my feather bed, chest drawers, couch, wood rocking chair, two cane seat chairs, watch and wearing apparel to my son Hedley.
Ninth. The residue of my furniture and effects to my housekeeper Hannah Pike.
In witness whereof I the said William Gilbert Withycombe have hereunto subscribe my hand at St. John's Nfld aforesaid this Nineteen hundred.
Signed by the said testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time, who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
