Will of William Whitten
from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 121-122 probate year 1910

In re
      William Whitten          deceased.

      St. John’s Newfoundland June 3rd 1910     This is the last will and Testament of William Whitten, late Engineer at the Lunatic Asylum made out at his request by J. Sinclair Tait M.D. his Physician on the above named date, by which he bequeaths all his worldly goods, as follows, viz: -
(1) His dwelling House, shop, and shop Goods to go to his wife, Mary Whitten, to be hers during her life-time: and after her death to go to his two daughters, Ellen Whitten and Ann Whitten, in Equal proportions
(2) His Furniture, and all other household effects to be used by his wife, Mary Whitten during her lifetime and after her death to go to his two daughters Ellen Whitten and Ann Whitten in equal proportions
(3) In the event of his wife Mary Whitten, marrying again, then the Dwelling House shop, shop-Goods, Furniture and all other house-hold effects to go immediately thereafter to his two daughters Ellen Whitten and Ann Whitten in equal divided proportions signed sealed and delivered in the presence of William ---- Whitten    witnesses    J. Sinclair Tait    Michael Dunn     Patrick J Kane    St. John’s    June 3rd 1910
