JOHN WHITTEN.

I JOHN WHITTEN, of Torbay, in the District of St John's East, in the Dominion of Newfoundland, being of sound mind & understanding do make this my last will & testament.
Firstly, I do give, devise & bequeath to my wife whatever money I possess, but the balance remaining after her death is to go to my son Robert.
Secondly, I do give, devise and bequeath to my son Robert, my land house & contents, horse, cattle & ten shares in the Eastern Oil Co provided that he cares for his mother till her death.
Thirdly, I appoint my son Robert to be the executor of this my last will and testament.

WITNESS my hand this 4th day of Oct. in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty nine.
