Will of George Burgess Whitten from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 260-261 probate year 1928

In re            DECEASED.
GEORGE BURGESS WHITTEN.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me GEORGE BURGESS WHITTEN of the Southside, St. John's, Planter.
I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and testament. I appoint my son Charles Henry Whitten and Charles E. Hunt of St. John's the executors of this my will.
I give and bequeath my house land stages flakes and all other real property except as hereinafter set forth to my said son Charles Henry Whitten. I bequeath to my daughter Mary Grace Murphy the sum of One thousand dollars ($1000.00) in cash, to my niece Muriel Whitten the sum of Five hundred dollars ($500.00) in cash, to my niece Madeline Whitten the sum of five hudnred dollars ($500.00) in cash,
I give and bequeath my house and land adjoining Snow's to my nephews Sandy and Frank Whitten.

All the rest and residue of my estate I give and bequeath to my said son Charles Henry Whitten.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John's this fourteenth day of June Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and twenty three.

SIGNED PUBLISHED AND DECLARED by the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names attesting the due execution hereof.

Codicil to my will made this 29th day of December 1924. I revoke my bequest of house and land adjoining Snow's to my nephews Sandy and Frank Whitten and do now bequeath same to my son Charles Henry Whitten absolutely. </p><p>
