In re
James Whitehorn deceased.
I James Whitehorn, of Twillingate
in the Northern District of the Island of Newfoundland being of sound mind
and memory do make this my last will and testament, in manner and form
following, that is to say.
I I give and devise unto my daughter
Hannah May my bed bedding and bedstead for her sole use and
benefit forever.
II I give and devise unto my daughter Louisa Young wife of
Andrew Young the trunk in my bed-room with all its contents
also one book entitled Prince of Peace.
III I give and devise unto my grandson
Elmo Gordon Whitehorn one trunk containing tools etc also
one casting-net
IV I give and devise unto my daughter Maria Ann Greenham wife
of Isaac Greenham all the rest residue and remainder of my property consisting
of dwelling-house out houses gardens water-side premises everything not otherwise
enumerated. Also the said Maria Ann Greenham is to have and hold possession
of all lands etc of my deceased Brother George Whitehorn until
such time as the right heirs of said deceased brothers property shall lawfully
claim the same
V Last I herewith appoint and constitute Robert Hayward
Sr. and his son Edwin Hayward to be the sole executors of this my last
will and Testament In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this sixth
day of April A.D. 1907 James his X mark Whitehorn Signed in the presence
of us present who at his request and in the presence of each other after
first being read over and explained signed by making his mark, and we have
subscribed ourselves thereto as witnesses of the same on the day and date
above mentioned Philip Pippy Charles White
