Last will and testament of Thomas
West Sr By the Grace of God Amen
it known that I Thomas West Sr of Bay L’Argent, in the District of Fortune
Bay and in the Island of Newfoundland do declare this to be my last will and
1st I give and bequeath
to my grandson Joseph Grandy my house and land surrounding said house, to have
and to hold said House & land aforesaid his heirs and successors forever.
2nd All the land that I am possessed of and granted
to me of which Grant is in my possession with everything thereon I give and bequeath
to my grandson Clifford Thomas West, together with my bedstead bed & bedding,
also the Fish Flake situated in front of Public Road & Joseph Grandy’s
and fully understood by the testator, and in his presence and in the presence
of each other, this second day of July one thousand nine hundred and fifteen
