Will of Horatio John Watts
from Newfoundland will books volume 13 page 37 probate year 1924

In re
      HORATIO JOHN WATTS.     DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Horatio John Watts of Saint John’s Customs Official.

  1. I give devise and bequeath to my son Theodore John Watts all my farm and lands at Harbour Grace with all chattels thereupon (if any) belonging to me forever and absolutely.

  2. I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my lands, goods, securities, moneys, property and estate of every description to my wife for her use during her life: with power to her to sell and dispose of or mortgage the same or any part thereof in her discretion and to apply the proceeds of any such sale or mortgage for her support and maintenance.

  3. Upon the death of my said wife I give devise and bequeath whatever portion of my estate shall then be remaining to my said son Theodore John Watts and my daughter Mary Z. C. Watts in equal shares forever and absolutely.

  4. I appoint my said wife and my said son Executors of this my Will.

      Witness my hand at Saint John’s aforesaid this Seventh day of April Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and twenty four.

Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other (all present at the same time) have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
