Will of Edwin Watton from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 140-141 probate year 1927

In re
      EDWIN WATTON.       DECEASED.

I Edwin Watton of Change Islands Newfoundland "Fisherman" of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this as my last will, and testament.

I give, devise and bequeath, to my youngest son Alfred, the whole of my fishing premises and gardens, the same as occupied by me, including my "Herring Net".

I hereby bequeath to my wife "Priscillia Watton", my Dwelling house and its furniture, and that she is not to be imposed upon or her comfort interfered with in any way whatsoever by my son Alfred or his wife should he have one. She is to use as long as she may desire the garden to fence above cellar including all potato ground on this side of the cellar, towards the house.

I further more bequeath to my wife Priscillia Watton all the Cattle in my possession, with barn included, and that she is not to be interrupted at any time in performing her daily work (as long as she wishes to do so) on the aforesaid premises.

I devise and bequeath to my son Walter 12 feet of land east and 12 feet north from his house in addition to that he now occupies and my desire is that it should be strong and well fenced.

I devise and bequeath to my son "Robert" 20 feet east of the road, bounded by Walter's, and extending to the gate of the garden of that which my wife is to use.

The remaining portion of my property I bequeath to my two sons Walter and Robert to be equally divided with the exception of the cod-trap including all trap twine Grapnels and moorings I bequeath to my wife, "Priscillia Watton".

Should either of my sons vacate the land bequeathed to him no portion or fraction thereof is to be sold and that it should never go out of the name of the family.

I hereby appoint Dorman Torraville to be Executor of this my will.
