Last will and Testament of
Thomas Walsh of Maddox Cove, Petty Harbor
Fisherman deceased
This is the last will and testament
of me Thomas Walsh of Maddox Cove farmer.
First. I bequeath
to my son James my dwelling house and land attached from the school house
to stream west of house. Also that piece of land known as Patrick
Walshs place from Martin Hefferins house to drain also that piece of land at
Blue veins from Stacks place to drain Also that piece of land over blue
veins known as James Walshs place and half that piece of land on East
side of Main Road known as Patrick Walshs place Also half of the waterside
premises on Southern side of road from public wharf to Stream.
Second.
I bequeath to Theresa Haniford my daughter and her heirs that piece of
land known as Hefferins place. Also that piece of land known as Patrick
Walshs place as far as the drain.. Also that piece of land at Blue Veins
from lobster cove to drain Also two pieces of land one at turn of road
known as John Bolans and one under the ridge known as Milers Also half
that piece of land on East side of Main road known as Patrick
Walshs place Also half the waterside premises. It is my wish that the above
lands & premises shall not be sold or mortgaged out of my family.
I appoint James Haniford and C. P. Morris Executors of this my last will
and Testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand at Maddox
Cove aforesaid this eleventh day of September A.D. 1886. (Sgd) Thomas
his X mark Walsh. Signed by the said testator (by affixing his mark)
as his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence
at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed
our names as witnesses (the same having been first read over and explained.

I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament
of Thomas Walsh deceased
