In re
MARY WALSH. DECEASED.
IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN.
I, Mary Walsh wife of Robert Walsh of St John's in the island of Newfoundland,
lately SERGEANT at Arms of the HONOrable the House of ASSEMBLY of Newfoundland,
being of sound mind, memory and disposition, do make this, my last will and
testament.
First: I hereby revoke all wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made
by me.
Second: I nominate and appoint John S. Keating Esquire of St John's aforesaid,
Deputy Minister of Finance, as sole executor hereof.
Third: I will and bequeath to my said executor all property monies, chattels
and effects of which I may die possessed of or entitled to upon trust for the
purposes following that is to say:
(A) To pay and devote the same and all rents, profits and interest arising
therefrom to my husband Robert Walsh during his lifetime.
(B) On the death of my said husband or in the event of his predeceasing me
to pay to the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St John's the sum of
two hundred and eighty dollars for seven High Masses one each for the repose
of the souls of my said husbands father and mother Edward and Katherine Walsh,
my said husband's brothers James and Patrick Walsh, my said husband's sister
Ellen Walsh, my said husband Robert Walsh and myself, and
The residue of my said estate to be used for such charitable purposes as my
said executor shall select and approve.
Signed, published and declared at St John's aforesaid this 11th day of April
A.D. 1927.
by the said Mary Walsh as and for her last will and testament in the presence
of us, present at the same time, who, in her presence and at her request and
in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
