Will of Cornelius Walsh
from Newfoundland will books volume 8 pages 592-593 probate year 1909

In re
      Cornelius Walsh          deceased.

    In the name of God Amen I Cornelius Walsh of the Battery Road St. John's do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament.
First I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon as possible after my death.
Secondly I give devise and bequeath all the property of every description of which I may died possessed including land houses moneys goods chattels boats and effects to my wife Mary Walsh to have and enjoy the same for and during the term of her natural life
Thirdly after the death of my wife Mary Walsh I give and bequeath to my daughter Agnes Peterson the house on Battery Road which I now occupy being that next the house of Edward Morrissey.
Fourthly after the death of my wife Mary Walsh I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Teresa King all the land upon which the house adjoining my own is built and all the land surrounding the same except that upon which the house bequeath to my daughter Agnes Peterson is built
Fifthly after the death of my wife Mary Walsh I will and direct that all moneys and other property then remaining belonging to my estate be divided equally between my said daughters Agnes Peterson and Teresa King.
Sixthly I do hereby nominate and appoint my wife Mary Walsh to be the Executrix of this my will Lastly I hereby revoke all other and former wills by me made. Cornelius his x mark Walsh     Signed published and declared by the said Cornelius Walsh as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our hands as witnesses this 14th day of December 1908 - the same having been first read over and explained to the said testator James M Kent     William Kenney
