Last Will and Testament of
Catherine Walsh of St. John's
Widow deceased.

      In the name of God Amen To all whom it may concern: be it known that I Catherine Walsh of St. John's Newfoundland at present widow of the late William Walsh Publican of Rawlind's Cross St. John's aforesaid do hereby make this as my last will and Testament to wit: I will and bequeath as follows after all my just debts and obligations shall have been paid and funeral expenses I bequeath to my daughter Catherine now a Nun in the Convent of the Presentation Order River Hd. St. John's aforesaid and known as Sister Joseph the sum of four hundred dollars: To my daughter Ellen Walsh I bequeath the sum of four hundred dollars: The residue of all property money, goods, houses, tenements, lands and chattels of any kind whatsoever of which I may die possessed I bequeath to my daughter Mary Walsh. (Sgd) Catherine her X mark Walsh. In testimony of which the above will having been read over to me in presence of the undersigned witness this thirtieth day of May Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and ninety five. I have this day hereto placed my mark and seal in presence of. (Sgd) M. F. Howley Bp. of St. John's. (sgd) John Carew. (Sgd) T. J. Murphy Solicitor. Witness. R Brokleton
Sept. 13th 1895 - Codicil - As a codicil to the said will written on the other side hereof I appoint John Carew of St. John's undertaker to be my executor and in all other respects I confirm all therein contained this 13th day of September 1895. (Sgd) Catherine her x mark Walsh - Signed published and declared as a codicil to said will by the said Testatrix in our presence who in her presence & at her request and in presence of each other the said will and codicil having been first read over and explained have hereto affixed and subscribed our names as witnesses (sgd) John Carew. (Sgd) T. J. Murphy.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament and codicil of Catherine Walsh deceased
