Last Will and Testament of
Alice Walsh of St. John's
Widow deceased.

      Last will and Testament of Mrs. Alice Walsh 72 Bannerman Street St. John's -
In the name of God Amen. I Alice Walsh Widow of late Michael Walsh deceased, of St. John's Newfoundland, Being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this life do hereby publish and declare this to be my last will and Testament, and to fulfil the wishes and intentions of my deceased husband Michael Walsh, as follows
1st After my decease, my dwelling house situated at No. 72 Bannerman St. St. John's, will be sold and after all my lawful debts and funeral expenses are paid and settled. I desire give and bequeath to and in trust. To the Rt. Revd Mons. John Scott to be arraingd as follows

To have an office and High Mass, for the repose of mine and my husbands souls
namely for Michael and Alice Walsh
$40.00
For Low Masses, for, for the same
60.00
For Low Masses, for my Fathers & Mothers souls namely for Martin and Ellen Whalen
20.00
For my two brothers souls Matthew & William Whalen
20.00
To the Rt Rev Mons. Scott the sum of
40.00
And in case of his decease the amt to be given to St. Michael orphanage Belvedere.
To Revd C. H. O'Neill the sum of
20.00
 
$200.00

And I also wish and appoint and desire William Aspell to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and for him to take charge of and to do as he may think well of with any monies over and above Also with my household furniture & effects knowing he will do everything according to my wishes And I hereby sign and declare this to be my last will and Testament, in presence of who at my request have witnessed the same this sixteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven. August 16th 1897. (Sgd) Alice Walsh x her mark Signed in presence of us witnesses (sgd) John Scott Admn Cath. (Sgd) William Aspell.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Alice Walsh deceased
