Will of James Joseph Wadden from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 497 probate year 1929

In re     DECEASED.
JAMES JOSEPH WADDEN.

This is the last will and testament of me, James Joseph Wadden of St. John's in the island of Newfoundland, shoemaker, and I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary writings. I hereby appoint my brother John Wadden of St. John's and William Geary of St. John's Cooper to be the executors of this my will.
1. I give and bequeath to my son Ernest my property situated at Rossiters Lane St. John's.
2. I give and bequeath unto my dear wife, Emily all my other property of every description both real and personal for the term of her natural life, and after her death to be divided equally between my three daughters Virginia, Emily, and Mercedes. It is my will and desire however that should either of my said daughters marry during the lifetime of my said wife Emily, said daughter shall thereby forfeit her share of my estate and same shall go to the remaining daughter or daughters who remain or remains unmarried.
Should my three daughters all marry during their mothers lifetime, then and in such case my wife can dispose of all the property bequeath to her under my will in any manner she may think fit. I will and direct that my Executors shall as soon as convenient after my death pay all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses.
Dated at St. John's aforesaid this 23rd day of November A.D. 1924.
