Last Will and Testament of
Elizabeth Mary Tucker of
Twillingate Widow deceased.
In the name of God Amen.
I Elizabeth Mary Tucker of Twillingate, Newfoundland, being of sound mind,
memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament.
1.
I give and bequeath to my nephews William Rice Chancey, and to his brother
Loyde Tocque Chancey of St. John's Newfoundland, the piece or parcel of land
belonging to me, situate between the Court House and the property of Stuckless Brothers of Tickle Point Twillingate with the dwelling house and whatever
other buildings are thereon; full possession to be given them after my decease,
no other person having any claim thereto.
2. I desire that such
small debts as may be due by me at the time of my decease, together with
necessary funeral expenses shall be paid (if no other means be found) by
the sale of such of my household goods and chattels as may be sufficient
for the said purpose.
And I give and bequeath to the aforesaid
William Rice Chancey and Loyde Tocque Chancey all the residue
of such furniture, including bedding and all chattels and effects not herein
mentioned in this will, that may remain in my house at the time of my decease.
I appoint the
Reverend Canon Temple and John W. Owens Esq to be the executors
of this my will. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal
this ninth day of March in the year of our Lord 1899 (sgd) Elizabeth
Mary Tucker (LS)
