In re Thomas Tobin deceased.
This is the last will and testament
of me, Thomas Tobin at present of Maddox Cove, near
Petty Harbor, in the Island of Newfoundland, fisherman, made this 8th day
of June A.D. 1908
1. I give, devise and bequeath to Philip Madden, with
whom I now reside, all the property of every description whatsoever of
which I shall die possessed and particularly all that land situate at
Maddox Cove aforesaid, and bounded on the north by the widow Madden’s
Land, on the east by the main road, on the south by land of Paul
Madden,
and on the west by the main river running through Maddox Cove; Also another
piece of land bounded on the north by land of Patrick Healy, on the east
by land of Patrick Hanniford, on the west by Patrick
Hanniford and on
the south by the road going to the wharf: Also all that piece of land
bounded on the south by land of Thomas Healy, on the north by a hill,
on the east by Luke Madden’s land, and on the west by Martin
Madden’s
land: To Have and To Hold the said several pieces or parcels of land
unto the said Philip Madden, his executors, administrators
and assigns for ever.
2. I appoint the said Philip Madden sole executor
of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other and former
wills that may have been made by me. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
subscribed my hand, by affixing my mark, at Maddox Cove aforesaid, the
day and year first above written. Thomas
