Last will and Testament
of Mary Tobin
of St. John's widow Deceased
.

This is the last will and Testament of me Mary Tobin of St. John's widow of John Tobin. Firstly. I hereby revoke all past wills made by me. Secondly I desire that my executors hereinafter appointed shall see that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid out of my estate. Thirdly I bequeath to my son Jeremiah Merrigan at present in the United States of America all my right title and interest in and to that dwelling house and premises situate in Hamilton Street in St. John's aforesaid for and during his lifetime after which I give and bequeath the said dwelling house to my niece Ellen Casey. Fourthly I give and bequeath to the Reverend father John Ryan of St. Patricks Parish the sum of forty dollars for masses for my soul. I give and bequeath to my niece Ellen Casey the sum of forty dollars also my bed and bedding. I give and bequeath to my cousin Mary Curran of St. John's all my clothes and wearing apparel also eight dollars. I give and bequeath to my son Jerremiah Merrigan all my house hold furniture, and all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects. I hereby appoint nominate and constitute my brother Patrick Casey and James Sutton both of St. John's aforesaid executors of this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereto my hand set and subscribed at St. John's aforesaid this 16th day of July A.D. 1890. Mary her x mark Tobin. Signed by the said testatrix by affixing her mark as and for her last will and testament in our presence who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereto our names set and subscribed as witnesses, the same having been read over and explained James his x mark Sutton Patrick Casey.
