Will of Joseph B. Tobin Last Will and Testament of This is the last will and Testament of me Joseph
B. Tobin of Twillingate in the Colony of Newfoundland merchant. I give devise
and bequeath to my beloved wife Eliza Tobin all my moneys,
goods, chattels, debts, effects and other property both real and personal and
everything else of every description of which I may die possessed or to which
I may be entitled for her absolute use and benefit during her lifetime, and
after her death I give devise and bequeath the same to such of my children
as may at her death be living share and share alike. It is my wish that my
daughters should be supported and maintained during their mothers lifetime
or until they shall be married or otherwise provided for out of my estate,
in such manner as my said wife may in her discretion decide - such support
and maintenance to be entirely in the discretion of my said wife: The mercantile
business at present carried on by me at Twillingate shall be carried on and
continued by my said wife as executor for the benefit of my estate but if my
Executor should be at any time of opinion that it would be for the interest
of my estate to wind up and discontinue the said trade then my said executor
may sell dispose of lease or wind up the said trade and business in such manner
and upon such terms as my said executor may think best for the advantage of
