Last will and Testament
of Jabez Tilley
of St. John's Planter Deceased.

This is the last will and Testament of me Jabez Tilley of the City of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland I hereby revoke all wills by me at any time heretofore made I appoint Albert C. C. Berteau of Saint John's aforesaid Solicitor to be my executor and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Camilla Elizabeth Tilley all my right title and interest in and to a certain mineral property situate at T. Island New Bay Notre Dame Bay in the Island aforesaid to be hers for her sole separate and absolute use. In the event of my said daughter Camilla Elizabeth Tilley dying without issue the interest in T. Island mineral property as aforesaid is to be divided between my daughters Mary Ann Wills and Emily Sarah Hubley share and share alike. I give devise and bequeath to my five children Frederick W., Edwin H., Camilla Elizabeth, Mary Ann (wife of      Wills) and Emily Sarah wife of Hubley) all my right title and interest in and to a certain mineral property situate at Seal Bay Notre Dame Bay in the Island aforesaid share and share alike. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary Ann wife of     Wills aforesaid the sum of five pounds being a balance due me by Daniel J. Henderson Esq. under a certain agreement signed by him in connection with the mineral property situate at T. Island as aforesaid. In witness whereof I the said Jabez Tilley have to this my last will and testament set my name this sixth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight nine Jabez Tilley. Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses Tom G. Crosbie Albert C. C. Berteau.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and testament of Jabez Tilley.
