Will of James Tibbs Senior Last will and Testament of I James Tibbs Senr. son of James of the Town of Trinity in the Electoral district of Trinity Newfoundland
being of sound mind do make my last will and testament. I die in communion
with the Church of England in Newfoundland commending my soul into the
hands of my heavenly father. I do give and bequeath to my wife Amy
Elizabeth Tibbs the whole of my property of whatsoever I die possessed including
the house and land with fishing room belonging thereto with all furniture
gear monies whatever is therein or thereon, my meadow situate near Rider’s
Hill, my new dwelling house and land known as Spoy’s room with
all that is therein or thereon and bounded on one side by the property
of John Thorne and on the other by Didham’s room, my property known
as Didham’s Rooms with the Stable and that is therein or thereon,
my meadow land and property situate in the north west arm Trinity with
all that is therein or thereon for her sole use so long as she lives
and needs the same and at her death to pass to the Church of St Pauls
Trinity for the maintenance of the ministrations of religion according
to the teaching of the Church of England in Newfoundland. In the event
of my wife Amy Elizabeth Tibbs dying before me I do
give and bequeath all the aforesaid properties and of all that I die
possessed to the said Church of St. Paul in the town of Trinity for the
maintenance of the ministrations of religion according to the Church
of England in Newfoundland. I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of James Tibbs deceased D. M. Browning (Listed in the margin next to this will the following)
