Last will and Testament
of Catherine Thomey
of Harbor Grace Deceased.

This is the last will and testament of me Catherine Thomey wife of Captain Henry Thomey Senior of Harbor Grace being of sound disposing mind memory and understanding. First I give and bequeath unto Robert Bralie son of my late husband Capt Bralie deceased the sum of sixteen hundred dollars, but should said Robert Bralie not be found within two years immediately after my death then and in that case I give and bequeath said sixteen hundred dollars as follows, namely eight hundred dollars of said sum unto my niece Katie MacNamara daughter of my brother Michael MacNamara deceased; and four hundred dollars of said sum unto my nephew Patrick MacNamara and also four hundred dollars unto my nephew Arthur MacNamara sons of my said brother. Also I give and bequeath unto Most Reverend R. MacDonald Bishop of Harbor Grace two hundred dollars towards Cathedral Building Fund and also one hundred and sixty dollars for masses for my soul. Also I give and bequeath unto Nurse Simms the sum of forty dollars. It is also my will that the gold watch and chain presented to my late husband Captain Bralie be given to my stepson said Robert Bralie should he be found within two years immediately after my death but in the event of his not being found then said watch and chain are to be given to Mr. John Patterson of Harbor Grace. Also I give and bequeath unto Beatrice Bralie niece of said Captain Bralie my watch and chain and all my clothes. Lastly I appoint Mr. John Patterson of Harbor Grace, Merchant, sole executor to this my last will and testament In witness whereof I do this fifteenth day of February 1890 subscribe my name at Harbor Grace. Catherine Thomey Signed by the said Testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Michael Su???
