Will of Morgan Taylor from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 514-515 probate year 1890 Last will and Testament This is the last will and testament of Morgan Taylor, planter at Grole, Hermitage Bay I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Taylor for her self her heirs and executors for ever, the sum of four hundred and eighty dollars, (deposited for me some years ago by the Reverend Edward Collet in the water stock, Saint John's Newfoundland) together with four hundred dollars to be paid to her out of my estate. Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Piercey the sum of four hundred dollars to be paid to her out of my estate. And to my sons Robert Taylor, James Taylor Job Taylor, and Norman Taylor I beueath an equal right to share and share alike in whatever money shall be left to the credit of my estate after my wife and daughter shall have received their portions respectively, and my lawful debts shall have been paid. Also I wish my youngest son Norman Taylor after my decease to be sole owner and possessor of my house, stage, outhouses boats, nets and all other household or other property to be for him his heirs executors and assigns forever, except that he shall give to my widow sufficient bed clothing for one bed, wheresoever she shall see fit to leave her present home to be for her ??? to do with as she shall please. Further I appoint the Reverend George H. Bishop to be the sole executor of this my will, and I direct that all expenses which he shall incur in the execution of this my will shall be paid out of my estate previous to any final settlement of this my will. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine. Morgan his x mark Taylor (L.S.)
