Will of Henry Taylor
from Newfoundland will books volume 8 page 394 probate year 1908

In re
      Henry Taylor          deceased.

      I, Henry Taylor of Henry of Port de Grave Newfoundland, Fisherman being of sound mind thus publish and declare my last will and Testament Revoking and annulling all former dispositions of my property. I give and bequeath as follows. To my wife Isabella Taylor    I bequeath and give all my property situated in Port-de-Grave viz my dwelling House, Furniture gardens, Fields, also my Fishing Gear, Boat, Nets, twines &c for her sole and separate use during her natural Life, giving her also the power to sell and dispose of any such effects as are moveable (except the Dwelling House, should the said sale be necessary for her support, at her death I bequeath and give the said property with the exception of any furniture or fishing Gear which may have been sold to my nephew Samuel Taylor, now occupying with myself and wife the aforesaid Dwelling House. He having sufficiently provided for her during her widowhood. The rental of my property situated in Saint John’s. I also bequeath to my wife, the aforesaid Isabella Taylor and on her decease, I give and bequeath the same rental to the aforesaid Samuel Taylor Dated this 12th day of November 1888     Henry his X mark Taylor    Signed acknowledged and declared by the said Henry Taylor as and for his Last will and Testament in the presence of us, who being present at the same time in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Jas. C. Harvey    Russal Dean     Eli Taylor Port de Grave 12 Nov. 1888
