Will of Benjamin Taylor from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 225 probate year 1928

In re            DECEASED.
BENJAMIN TAYLOR.

This is the last will and testament of me BENJAMIN TAYLOR, of St. John's, Newfoundland, Carpenter.
I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions at any time made by me and declare that this is my last will.

  1. I give and bequeath to my three daughters, - Winnifred, Lena, Alfreda, or such of them as shall be unmarried at the date of my death, subject as hereinafter provided, my house No 95 Springdale Street, and household effects, with the exception of a new piano which belongs to Alfreda.
  2. In the event of the marriage of any of my said daughters after my death her share of the said property shall go to the surviving unmarried daughter or daughters.
  3. Should all of my said daughters marry, or should they all agree to sell, the property shall be sold by my executors hereinafter named, and the net proceeds, after deducting two hundred dollars shall be equally divided between my said daughters.
  4. In the event of a sale of the said property as aforesaid I direct that the aforesaid sum of two hundred dollars shall be equally divided between my two sons, - Joseph Taylor, at present of California, and Hedley Taylor at present of Alten, Massachusetts U.S.A.
  5. I appoint Matthew Gilbert King, of St. John's, teacher, and Herbert James Taylor, of St. John's draper, executors of this my last will.

      In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 16th day of February       A.D. 1920.

Signed by the above- named Benjamin Taylor as his last will in the joint presence of himself and us who at his request and in such joint presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
