Last will and Testament
of Margaret Sutton
of Trepassey widow Deceased

In the name of God Amen. I Margaret Sutton of Trepassey in the Southern District of the Island of Newfoundland widow do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. First I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Sutton four shares in the Commercial Bank of Newfoundland Second I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Catherine M. A. Waddleton fifty pounds equal to two hundred dollars Newfoundland currency to be paid her by Thomas Sutton out of my estate when he thinks her capable of taking care of said sum of two hundred dollars. Third I give and bequeath unto my son Michael Sutton one hundred pounds equal to four hundred dollars currency asfd. To my son George Sutton one hundred pounds equal to Four hundred dollars currency afsd. to my son William Sutton one hundred pounds equal to four hundred dollars currency afsd., to my son Richard Sutton one hundred pounds equal to four hundred dollars currency afsd. And to my daughter Elizabeth Stevenson one hundred pounds equal to four hundred dollars currency afsd. The foregoing bequests to Michael Sutton George Sutton William Sutton Richard Sutton and Elizabeth Stevenson to be paid with the five hundred pounds I now have in the Union Bank. Fourth I give and bequeath unto the Reverend Thomas Hennebury the sum of fifteen pounds Fifth I give and bequeath my house and furniture to my said son Richard Sutton. My daughter Elizabeth Stevenson is to live in the house until she procures one for herself. Also I give and bequeath all money and property of every description (not hereinbefore bequeathed) with the exception of my watch and a bed which I hereby give and bequeath unto my grandson George son of my son Michael Sutton unto my said sons Thomas Sutton Michael Sutton George Sutton William Sutton Richard Sutton and my daughter Elizabeth Stevenson share and share alike. Seventh I annul all former wills by me made or executed. Lastly I appoint my sons Thomas Sutton and Michael Sutton executors of this my will. In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and seal subscribed and set at Trepassey afsd. this 23rd day of October A.D. 1876. Margaret Sutton widow (L.S.) Signed sealed published and declared by the said Margaret Sutton as and for her last will and Testament in presence of us and each of us, who have in presence of the said Margaret Sutton and at her request and in presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses Thomas Hennebury P.P. Mary Ann Coady Roger Piercey November 30th 1882.
