This is the last will and testament of me William Sterling of Twillingate, in the Northern District of Newfoundland, Doctor of Medicine and Surgeon. First. I give devise and bequeath, to my four unmarried daughters Lucinda Sterling, Rosetta E. C. Sterling, Janet N. Sterling and Georgina A. Sterling my dwelling house in which I now reside and all the land therewith, with all the erections thereon, and appurtenances of whatsoever kind situate in Trout Harbour North Island of Twillingate together with all my household furniture, plate pictures, linen, china and effects of every description for their own use absolutely, in equal shares according to value. With the further sum of two hundred dollars annually to each of my said unmarried daughters, for their own use, support and maintenance. Secondly. I give devise and bequeath all my cultivated lands situate at Wild Cove, on North Island Twillingate, also a piece of cultivated land, adjoining land owned by Andrew Roberts, old potato garden, situate at Trout Harbour, North Island Twillingate to my aforesaid four unmarried daughters, during the time they remain single. And should a reasonable offer be made to my aforesaid daughters, to purchase, rent, or lease any part or the whole of aforesaid tenements, or lands, they my four daughters, with the concurrence of my executors, shall be at liberty to receive a reasonable offer, by way of purchase, sale or rental, of the whole, or any part of said property, and any monies derivable therefrom, they are to share equally, and supplement sums before named by an equal division of all such rentals, or proceeds therefrom, which may be invested in one of the St. John's Banks of Newfoundland, in their own names conjointly, for their own especial use and benefit, share and share alike. But should any of my within named daughters get married, she is then to receive only the sum of two hundred dollars yearly the same as my present married daughters are to receive with the exception of one thousand dollars currency as a marriage gift from me. O. Hayward Esq. Barrister of St. John's Newfoundland to be divided share and share alike between my then unmarried daughters. Fifthly. As to monies invested in Newfoundland I do not think it would be advantageous to distribute them at present until all Canadian stocks are realized and invested in one account in the Union Bank of St. John's Newfoundland. Sixthly. I give to my daughters Rosetta E. C. Sterling and Georgiana A. Sterling my sleigh carriage side saddle and harnesses for their own use and benefit. Seventhly. I give to Georgina A.
