Last will and Testament of
James Stafford of St. John’s
Master Mariner deceased

      The last will and Testament of me James Stafford of St. John’s Master Mariner I revoke all wills by me at any time heretofore made I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
I give devise and bequeath unto my nephew John Mulcaly all that piece of land situate on Richmond Street in the town of St. John’s and also all my interest in and to the Mortgage from Philip Moore upon the land and building known as the Bavarian Beer Depot.
To my niece Margaret Mulcaly I give devise and bequeath all my interest as mortgagee in that house on Low Backed lead Road held by Maurice O’Farrell.
To my niece Kate Kearney I give and devise the sum of Fifty dollars.
All the residue of my estate I give devise and bequeath unto my said niece Margaret Mulcaly. I appoint John Mulcaly my nephew aforesaid to be the Executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 13th day of May A.D. 1898. (Sgd) Jas. Stafford. Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses. (Sgd) Martin W. Furlong (Sgd) Edwin W. Lyon.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of James Stafford deceased
