In re
Richard Spracklin deceased.
I Richard Spracklin of
Brigus District of Port-de Grave Newfoundland retired planter do make
and ordain this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking all other
wills previously made by me;
First I will and bequeath to my daughter
Bertha Spracklin the dwelling House now occupied by me together with
Barn and outhouses and all land connected therewith. I also will and
bequeath to my said daughter Bertha Spracklin all my Household Furniture
and everything else in the Dwelling House or on the premises including
cattle The whole or any part of the before mentioned property hereby
given to my said daughter Bertha Spracklin She
will be at liberty to dispose of at any time
Second I will and bequeath
to my son George James Spracklin the dwelling house
store and Property situate on Grave Hill leading to Pettley Row.
Third
I will and bequeath to my son George James Spracklin all that meadow
and garden in Brigus lying between the north river of Brigus and Convent
Square, which meadow and garden is bounded on the north by land of James
Spracklin and of Thomas Spracklin and on the south or south east by land
of my son William John Spracklin which he bought from the estate of Patrick
Power the said meadow and garden having been purchased by me from the
late John Hearn in the year one thousand eight hundred
and eighty seven and in my possession and under my control ever since.
Fourth My share or interest in the waterside property Brigus I will and
bequeath equally to my two sons George James Spracklin and William
John Spracklin.
Fifth
- my share or interest in the Pettley Row property I will and bequeath
to my daughter Agnes Roberts
Sixth my three shares in
the St. John’s Gas Light Co. I dispose of as follows: To my daughter Agnes
Roberts I will and bequeath one of the said shares and to my daughter
Bertha Spracklin I will and bequeath Two of the said
shares.
Seventh - I will and bequeath all my property situate at Indian
Harbor Labrador as follows. To my son George James Spracklin I give two
thirds he to have the Eastern part of land with all erections thereon
Provided however that the house lately erected thereon by my son William
John may be removed therefrom should he wish to do so; To my son William
John Spracklin one third of the said land he to have the western part.
Eighth
- all monies left after my decease I give to my daughter Bertha
Spracklin.
Ninth.
I hereby appoint Samuel W Bartlett executor to this my last will and

In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand at Brigus,
Newfoundland this seventh day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand nine hundred and Eleven Richard Spracklin Signed publish and declared by the said testator Richard
Spracklin as
and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed
our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said testator the
day date before mentioned the interlination in condition number seven
