Will of Jane Spracklin from Newfoundland will books volume 5 pages 326-327 probate year 1888

Last will and Testament
of Jane Spracklin of
Brigus widow deceased.

This is the last will of Jane Spracklin, Widow of the late Samuel Spracklin of Brigus hereby revoking all other wills and all other Testaments by me made.

First. I give and bequeath unto my son Azariah Spracklin, all my share of the water side premises home, stores, wharves, garden, that came to me through my husband Samuel Spracklin, also one second hand counterpane.

Second. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Caroline Spracklin, all my clothes, wearing apparel, and new counterpane.

Third. I give and bequeath unto my grandson Samuel Spracklin son of Nathaniel Spracklin my best feather bed and the sum of five pounds currency.

Fourth. I give unto my granddaughter Jane daughter of Samuel Spracklin the sum of five pounds cy.

Fifth. I give unto my grandson Moses Whelan son of Caroline Whelan the sum of five pounds cy.

Sixth. I give unto my granddaughter daughter of William Spracklin the sum of five pounds cy.

Seventh. All my remaining property consisting of money and furniture, beds, and bedding lands or any other goods I wish to be equally divided between my sons, Samuel, Azariah, William Nathaniel and my daughter Caroline, share and share alike equal.

Eighth. I hereby appoint Mr. Richard Spracklin and Mr. Henry Roberts to be executors to this my last will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Brigus this 25th day of June one thousand and eighty seven. Jane x Spracklin. (LS) Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of William A. Green (LS) and Ephraim Horwood (LS)
