Will of Martha Snelgrove from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 47-48 probate year 1929

This is the last will and testament of me Martha Snelgrove widow of John George Snelgrove deceased made this 1st day of October 1925 at Lower Isd Cove and by this I annul all other wills and testaments made by me.

1st. My husband John George Snelgrove having died intestate before his decease particularly instructed me how to dispose of all his worldly effects which he left to me as sole heir executor & assignee during my natural life.

After my deceased by his instructions all his and mine such as houses and all erections including fishing room property of every description whatever with all lands timber and household furniture cattle and chattels whatever and wheresoever situated is to become the property of our grandson Abram John Snelgrove only son of our son Abram deceased during his natural life or while he shall be a resident of Lower Island Cove or vicinity. But should Abram John aforesaid leave Island Cove to reside in any other part of Newfoundland or any foreign country my daughter Annie Maude Morris is to have the benefit of whatever produce may be gathered from the property and all rents and benefits derived from the property with the provision that if Sophia or Winnie should return to live on the property each or both of them shall share and share alike with Annie aforesaid but in no case is the property to be sold while Abram John is living nor without the mutual consent of him and my own natural children. Further should Abram John through death or any other circumstance be dispossessed of the property then our Granddaughter Martha May Snelgrove shall possess and partake of an equal share of the property and all benefits therefrom with our own daughters before mentioned share and share alike.

Finally what personal property as money whatever and wheresoever is left of the estate at my decease after a decent burial of my body shall be shared equally between my three daughters Annie Sophia and Winnie and my grandchildren Abram John and Martha May the five to share and share alike.

I hereby appoint my daughter Annie Maud Morris and Allan G. Morris the executrix and executor to this my last will and testament and hereto I set my sign and seal
